Financing can be much more challenging that making your movie

If you want to be successful at film financing, you need to be organized, professional, and credible. We can help.

Most indie films are financed primarily through funds from family, friends, and other Private Investors (aka “high net worth individuals"). The foundation of financing is TRUST. If people trust that you know how to make a great movie and that you know how to get it properly distributed, then they will be more inclined to help finance your movie. To earn their trust, you need to know what you’re doing . . . and you need to do it very professionally. If you have never done it before, you will need help. We can provide you with the help and credibility that is required to earn TRUST.

These investors provide money in exchange for a share of the movie's profits, an ownership stake in the project, or the repayment of their investment with interest. This approach can be appealing to filmmakers looking for funding, as it offers flexibility in terms of deal structures and may bring valuable industry expertise and connections.

Tax credits and other financial incentives play a crucial role in the filmmaking industry, providing significant benefits to both filmmakers and the local economies where productions take place. Many countries, states, and regions offer tax credits, rebates, and grants to attract film and television projects.

Online platforms like Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and GoFundMe serve as avenues for filmmakers to seek financial backing from a wide array of potential supporters. In return for their contributions, backers frequently enjoy incentives like exclusive access to behind-the-scenes materials, digital copies of the movie, or even credits within the film itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You will need private investors (“high net worth individuals”) to help finance your movie.
  • In order to get investors interested, you will need to show them a very professional and credible IPP that clearly and succinctly delineates all of the pertinent details of the film that you are making and the investment opportunity.
  • You get one chance to make a good first impression with your potential investors and a well-crafted IPP will position you for success.
  • Don’t think that you can fake your way through an investor pitch without knowing exactly what you’re talking about; investors will easily see through that. An IPP will guide you through the process and help make you look much more professional and credible.

As soon as you are ready to pitch to potential investors you will need a good IPP.

NO, we cannot help you source and/or find investors; you need to do that on your own. We can only give you compelling tools that can help you professionally present to investors.

If you don’t get financing (from investors) then you will not be able to make your movie. Relative to the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars that you will be raising to make your movie, $2,500 for a comprehensive & professional IPP is well worth the money in giving yourself the best chance of successfully financing your movie.

You CAN. But will it be professional enough to impress your potential investors? Probably not . . . especially if this is your first IPP.

NO, we cannot guarantee that you will be successful in getting financing, but we can guarantee that our IPP will give you a much better chance of succeeding.

YES, we can assist you in making the pitch to your investors but that will involve additional consulting fees at $250 / hour.

Great question. Investors will trust you if they sense that you can effectively produce a good film ON TIME and ON BUDGET and that you can get the film successfully distributed so that they (the investors) will get their money back and hopefully make a profit. Our IPP will give you lots of credibility and will help make your investors feel more comfortable in investing in your project.
